Council Order Training Program
Every program is tailored to the individual dog, household and circumstances surrounding the Council Order.
Your program includes:
1 × 90-Minute Initial Behaviour Assessment
We’ll discuss your dog’s history, review the behaviour of concern and relevant Council documentation, identify practical management strategies and begin appropriate training.
Following your assessment, you’ll receive a personalised written Behaviour & Training Plan.
2 × 60-Minute Follow-Up Sessions
We’ll review your progress, troubleshoot challenges, continue behaviour modification training and develop practical strategies for safely managing your dog.
Professional Council Report
Following satisfactory completion of the program, we’ll prepare a professional report for your local council, outlining the training completed, progress observed and recommendations for ongoing management.

Our Approach
Dogs subject to Council Orders can have complex behavioural needs. Our approach focuses on safety, practical management and positive reinforcement behaviour modification.
We do not use shock collars, prong collars, choke chains or intimidation-based training methods.
Where appropriate, we may also recommend working alongside your veterinarian or a veterinary behaviour professional, particularly where pain, anxiety or other health-related factors may be contributing to your dog’s behaviour.

Yes. A previous bite or attack does not automatically prevent your dog from participating. Please provide complete information about previous incidents so we can plan appropriate safety and management strategies.

Engagements range from two weeks for focused audits to several months for comprehensive transformation.

Yes. We use positive reinforcement and reward-based behaviour modification and do not use shock collars, prong collars, choke chains or intimidation-based techniques.

Yes. A Professional Council Report is included in the $790 program fee following satisfactory completion of the program.

No. Decisions about the status or conditions of a Council Order are made by the relevant authority. Our role is to provide appropriate training and behaviour support and professionally document the work completed.

The program includes three consultations, and our aim is to help you and your dog progress through the program within these sessions wherever reasonably possible.
However, every Council Order case is different. Depending on your dog’s behaviour, level of risk and progress during training, additional sessions may be required before we can confirm satisfactory completion.
If further training is required, we’ll discuss this with you and explain why.

The initial assessment is generally conducted in your home, with follow-up sessions held at home or another agreed training location depending on your dog's needs.
We service Adelaide's southern suburbs and Adelaide Hills, with travel fees applying to some locations.
